"We are not now that strength which in old days Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts, Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.”
Ulysses, Lord Alfred Tennyson
Daniel Craig, as James Bond in one of the posters for the new film, Skyfall. I've seen it the day before yesterday and I must say I loved it. It's a real Bond film. Craig does not fail to impress and Javier Bardem is quite probably the best bond villain in the whole series. Recommended to fans of the old Bonds and the new alike. I think it pleases both universes.
Regarding the piece itself, it was my first time using black paper. I've been wanting to experiment with it for a while but never got around to it until now. It's interesting, but a bit disappointing. The white you get with only a white pencil isn't exactly white as I expected. Used a white gel pen to try and compensate that, and it worked for me. But the scan doesn't really make it justice. This is one of the very few pieces I clearly prefer in the flesh. Anyway, hope you enjoy it, and any constructive criticism is always welcomed
Black paper, white and blue pencils, white gel pen. Size A4.

hmmm. people are gonna start to think i got a daniel craig fetish or something. why? because i'm about to fave my second one today. oh well.
excellent work. plus, you added that little snippet of ulysses by tennyson. which, just happens to be my favorite poem of ALL time. honest. anyone that really knows me will tell you. i annoy them with it ALL the time. heh. so imagine my giddiness when i heard it recited in skyfall. a movie i happened to enjoy immensely. it was the icing on the cake.
anyway,... i don't have a daniel craig fetish. but i do have a fetish for excellent art. and that's why i'm faving this.
Well, I guess there are worse things to annoy people with than a poem. Your friends are lucky. You could be annoying them with bagpipes. Or octopuses. Or... bagpipe playing octopuses. Think of what they could do playing those things with 8 arms... Actually, don't think about it at all. It's gonna be my new world domination secret weapon! MWAhaHAhah! So, hum, thank you for the fav and the comment. And the word giddiness. It's such a nice little word
